"Performance Climb"

I can confirm that is not a photo of a photo.

I believe you Chris!

As a francophone polishing his English I just thought
the choice of words was unusual… to me! :)

Daniel, to ease your confusion. A performance climb for a jet is normally done after straight take off. It is also known as an unrestricted climb as most aircraft climb on a shallow profile for the first few miles. Air traffic control and airspace constraints and the like are the 'restrictions' so it is normally a spectacle to behold when a jet does a performance/unrestricted climb. hope this helps. nice shot btw

Nice photo, like it a lot.

Watched an F15 do a performance take-off many years ago (1983) from the flightline of a former cold-war UK airbase. Very impressive, especially back then as there really wasn't much else around to come close to the F15.
