Not sure of the correct terminology but had a look through my photos for suitable texture backgrounds. Added these to a couple of photos and quite pleased with the result for a first attempt. Will check all my "mistake" photos in future in case they can be used as backgrounds.

Second one, the original was the bee on a flower and I added a texture using a photo of tree bark.
 
These are pleasing on the eye - and also slightly puzzling too as it's difficult to see how the rose is standing in the first and one assumes we're looking down on the second.

Different and I like them for that.
