Photographing guitars

I know very little about this but one thing that jumps out at me is that a better background may help, velvet or stand up against an amp or something. The black guitar could do with more fill light on the edge I think.
 
IMO, the setting/BG is definitely problematic, more-so for the LP.
Lighting something like the PRS requires equipment/modifiers of the size most don't have, so you are more dependent on getting soft "natural" light; the first few images seem like a pretty decent result. If you do need to add light I would light "the room" and not the guitar directly.

and a tripod to give more dof...
a plain background and show the headstocks as well
