Pic(s) you took today - an open thread

Its still cold.
I have quite a few of these Pearsall threads I just keep them for spiders.
And I am trying to learn how to do photography
The image below is not edited apart from cropping and a border.
Very happy with it, I know its not a natural fly tying still life but its a start.

Pictures from a cold walk at the seaside.

Sorry I can't resist... The walk was quite exhausting  Sorry.

We haven't had too much blue in the sky recently so I wanted to include it in this picture, and others,

Lots of boats but no one was fishing today.

That seagull again.

You wouldn't believe how long I had to wait for a bird to fly into this picture.

It was nice to get out :D

Another trip to the seaside. It was very cold. I think someone said it's the coldest for 15 years or so?

This reminded me of my dad who served on what he called mine sweepers and submarine chasers during WW2.

The incoming tide. The posting process has caused lines in the sky which are not visible in the original file. I hope this doesn't spoil your enjoyment if you would have otherwise enjoyed it...

There were lots of interesting shells and "devils toenails" but I couldn't take any home as Mrs WW shouts at me.

I managed to snap a bird in flight. I also got him sunning himself with his wings wide open.

This one is a stitch. The posting process may well put some lines in the sky which are not visible in the original file on my pc.

One last one. Down the ramp to the sea showing the sea defences and with the vertical pier in the distance.

A lovely walk there WW, thanks for sharing.

The stitch look good, took me a while to spot the guy on the right, gives a sense of the grandness of it all.

Thank you. I was lucky he was there. I wish I'd been able to go further to the right to include more of the cliff in the distance but that would have brought the wall and road into the scene.
