Nowadays, St.Nikolaus day has been commercialized and is celebrated as a kind of mini-christmas in many German families --- )

I had forgotten at Nikolas - our son is now 32!

The Austrian side of the story has Krampus following, leaving switches in the shoes of naughty children.
