A few of these ladies have appeared on the east coast of Scotland in the last couple of days. Seemed rude not to go off looking to capture one while the chance was there. Hosted on Facebook, so no doubt it's crap regardless of where you view it...

Pity about the bright background but you coped well and brought out some fine detail

Indeed gramps, but I had dozens of shots of the bird half-hidden in the foliage, or with twig shadows across its body. I was lucky to get only a couple like these when she came out in the open. She was well aware of me and wasn't most keen on being overt for the camera.

Lovely wee birds these. Don't see then too often up here unfortunately. Decent take too.
