Glad you decided to stay, I know its disheartening when your efforts attract critism as well as critique, but you really will learn from stuff that is posted here and these pin up shots show you have something there to work with.

So, some constructive critique and yes, some praise too

1 - I like the idea and models with their lips slightly open is an accepted 'sexy' look. However, possibly a little bit too open in this instance, so a wee bit unflattering. However, I like the muted colours look but remember to try and hold camera straight, or crop straighter in processing. Its not quite enough of an angle to appear deliberate.

2 - another great idea, shame her hand is clipped at the top of frame and the sun has created some over-exposure on her skin/hair, but the idea rocks!

3 - I love this one, something about it really works for me. I think this is an instance where you could have gone completely central and got in all the groin shadows, but still works!

4 - this is my absolute fav of the set, its a stunner for me! just one tip for the future, a very cheap investment for you would be a reflector, which could have been used to reflect some of that sunlight back into her face, which is a bit shadowy. Given the limitations of your camera, this would offer all manner of opportunity for you to control the light without going to huge expense. have a look on ebay and such places, you really can pick them up very cheaply, just a few pounds.

5 - again a lovely idea, but the boat sticking out of her head is a distraction.

6 - lovely, but again, needed some light in her face. It also looks a bit like she is giving the camera a 2 fingered salute, so unless thats deliberate, be careful about hand placement

 overall they are a lovely set, its the small details that take a good shot to a great one, and that's what you need to work on. Make sure backgrounds are as good as they can be, check frame clipping with hands/feet, and if you can, try and get a reflector to help control shadows.

Edit: just for ref, I mean something like one of these, but there are a mulitude of them available 5 in 1 reflector

Not been around much so dont know anything about the stay/go thing ... but heres my thoughts anyway...

Basically theres only really one shot that strikes me as 'Pin-up' despite the models clothes & hair being very much a Pin-up style, and thats image 2.
Im not keen on how tight she is tucked into the corner of the shot or how the hand is clipped. I know as photographers we try to give them space to look into & such, but the shot doesnt really look that much about 'her', and the face looks soft.

I really like the compostion and tones in image 4, which is my fave of the set, but again it doesnt really say Pin-up to me.
YV has pretty much covered the other shots.
JMO :)

Gosh, what a lovely set of images. Your model looks very relaxed and gorgeous. The 'Marilyn' look is super.

No4 stood out as my preferred image and I agree with the comment about using a reflector.

Congratulations and image your model is very happy.

Good effort, No 4 is the best one for me. A wider aperture would have made the background better in No 5.

Going with the crowd but I had already gone for no 4 before reading the other posts. Not sure why, perhaps it appears more candid than posed.

I agree number 4 is great and would look great bw too and well done you for keep showing your work you will keep improving all the time you have definitely an eye for composition
