Spent an enjoyable but challenging evening in Highland Perthshire shooting Pine Marten the other night. The first animal showed just after 1930 with another just after 2000. I'm quite happy with the results considering I was shooting handheld at 1/60th at one point with a 500mm lens.

Setup is a Nikon D7100 and 200-500 f5.6.

All feedback is welcome. Thanks for looking.

Thank you. They certainly are elusive. Was great to watch them though.

Excellent set Calum especially hand held.
GEORGE.

Great to get to see and photograph these, agree with Dave about lifting the shadows a little :)

Very nice.

I have a few Perthshire spots (where I live) but find it less productive than at our holiday place on Loch Sunart.

Well done.

Thanks. We're quite lucky to have them relatively close by. Loch Sunart looks like a good place for them.

The shots are delight to look at.
