Pink flower thingy

Not sure what this is -but it caught my eye yesterday in the local park's tropical garden. Illumination is by sunlight from directly behind the the flower thingy- hence the rather burned out centre!

Canon G9 compact, Macro mode, ISO 80, handheld.

Not sure if it is one from that angle, but reminds me of a Bottlebrush plant.
I like the way you got the sun behind the centre
