Poppies at Middleport

The travelling poppy display came to Middleport Pottery in Stoke on Trent in September and created a fine tribute to those who did not return home

It was an excellent tribute to the guys who would never return and lovely to see the "localised" version of the poppies. Bottle kilns were once a very common sight in Stoke on Trent, I believe there are fewer than 50 left now.

That is really something, the Poppy’s look spectacular on a church, cathedral or castle, but this is completely different, very nice.

Thanks Andrew. Someone had an excellent idea in using an iconic symbol for the Potteries (Stoke on Trent) area.
