I was playing around with a recent shot of a poppy I took in my garden, and ended up with this.

I completely agree with Tim - the flower itself is great but it really needs a nice clean background.

A tighter crop might help emphasize the flower, maybe in portrait. Some times you can’t avoid a busy background but there are ways to lessen the impact.
