This fire started very late one night/early one morning, allegedly accidentally but coincidentally disposing of a load of plastic bottles... Eventually extinguished by a helicopter dropping buckets of water on it. Shot from about 2 miles away with an X-T2, 100-400 and 1.4x telecon.

Another of the dreaded... We avoid the town (Chania) when we know there's one around - the streets are packed with umbrella wielding guides; shop fronts are blocked (the herd have no time to stop and shop) as are the restaurants (again, no time for the herd to feed) and the karzis (few and far between apart from in the bars and restaurants which are supposed to be for customers...) (I know the horizon's slightly askew - it's in the hope that the monstrosity will slide of to the East!)
