Prepare for take off

Tried our local airfield again as its now under new ownership (again) and to see if the new owners are going to make a go of it, the last ones ran it into the ground, which is a pity as we spent many happy hours there over the last 10 years, it seems they are very serious about getting it back onto the popularity map again and have invested heavily in the café and put in some much needed improvements, we will be back on Sunday to see just how busy it now is, for now a Gyrocopter preparing for take off, and no you wouldn't get me up in one.

Very nice image and I agree with you, I wouldn't go up in one either you must feel really exposed and vunerable in those things.

They are great for photography and as the engine is only for forward movement they are fairly safe...rather one of these than an old flexwing microlight!

Fairly sure I've seen TX...at Pocklington possibly.
