I've been flogging greetings card as well as prints lately. It's proved quite popular with the punters, as it's a cheap way to buy photos if you're not carrying much cash. The problem is, short of sourcing (and cutting) my own card, envelopes and bags, the stuff you can buy online seems to be mainly A-size card, and I find that A5 is too big and A6 is too small.

Has anyone seen B-size or any other size inkjet card sizes for sale? B6 would be ideal, at 12.5 x 17.6 cm — though I'm not sure if there's a matching envelope size for B6. If not, does anyone know of good cheap sources of inkjet card and envelopes, etc?

If you look here in a similar thread https://www.talkphotography.co.uk/threads/postcards-and-greeting-cards.675568/ in post #5 there is mention of a company I had not heard of!

I had a look and their size offerings are not A size based but "photo sizes" so a tad different.

In regard to B size paper sized cards, I have never heard of any..............................but the company I note does do a 5 x 7 size so very close if not an acceptable match to B6 size???

HTH :)

No, there isn't, at least not within the ISO system. The system includes the familiar A series of paper sizes, the less familiar B series of paper sizes, and the C series of envelope sizes. But C series envelopes are designed to fit A series paper. For example a C6 envelope will fit an A6 page unfolded or an A5 page folded once. But the B series paper sizes are by definition half way between the A series sizes (strictly speaking they're the geometric means of consecutive A series sizes, so that means the C series envelopes won't be suitable.

Far more than you ever wanted to know about paper sizes, but it's fascinating, here:

Thank you!
Funnily enough, this company is my usual supplier. But I never noticed that they added the new size, so your reply was excellently timed! :)

Their Baryta cards are great quality, but a bit pricey. Once you factor-in ink and a cellophane bag, a small A6 card costs 76p to make. A 7x5 card would cost me £1.17. Not cost-prohibitive, but it's not exactly going to make me rich.
