I came across this tree in a pine forest, that reminded me of the prow of 'Viking' ships hence the name. I decided to spot colour the main tree and reduce the colour saturation in the background. (To be honest there wasn't much colour in the bg in the original)

Canon EOD100D, EF24-105mm f/4L IS USM (F13, 4secs, iso 400)

I quite like that although it would be nice to see one without the desaturation. Also, I think I'd crop a little from he top and the bottom.

Confused as to the settings you used though :thinking:

I love it, the colour on the tree works beautifully against the grey/darker background.(y)
 
Thanks for the comments Ned and Steve, here's one without the desaturation:

I did try a few other setting (f4, iso1600, 1/60), but they came out a little dark and didn't quite capture the way the light was hitting this particular tree - it was very dark under those pine trees.
