With some of the new software that are now available. I have replaced the sky to hopefully give a flat image more drama.

It looks great with the added sky, but you probably need to find a different sky. The sun is currently placed on the shadow side of the bird which looks wrong...
My take on this is that whilst most people with an interest and knowledge of photography would see the lighting problem less than 1% of Joe Public would and even if they did they wouldn't care. So does it really matter about the light if the new sky improves the overall look of the image?
