Purple Heron at local gravel pit

A rare find, I have only seen one once, a juvenile ... caused quite a stir! :)
 
It's been local for about a week. I believe many people have been to see it. It is on a gravel pits that is still being worked on and will go into the restricted area, occasionally like today the heron will favour a smaller pool open to the public.
