97's a good age but she didn't have it easy either in her private life or acting early on. RIP
 
Stunning looking lady in her prime, and fantastic voice. Will be missed....

We have a couple of her musicals on DVD, Mrs loves Calamity Jane....
 
She was absolutely marvellous as an actress and as a singer and in some ways underrated due to Marilyn Munroe taking the spotlight.

I particularly like her as a jazz singer and used to have an album on tape, now lost unfortunately.
