I understand, Dave, that the Sun is from an other direction
in the South view but I would be tempted to give the sky a
similar dramatic to the first! …just me. The winding road is
giving a good sense of scale in the second.

Absolutely stunning image. Nice to see something a bit different. I am planning a trip to the Isle of Skye in November and wondered if this was a difficult climb? I will be travelling on my own so I tend to plan every detail and know what I am facing.
