For the fist one I was basically lying on the damp ground amongst a bunch of goose crap, the rest I didn't feel quite justified that so I only kneeled really low. A flippy screen would have been quite handy...

I have 5 digital cameras and not a one has a flippy screen. I might need to consider a little HDMI monitor... jeeze, does it ever end?
