A trip out to the Dales on Sunday, and a great location (thanks to Bowz) made for some good photo opportunities shooting the Rally of the Tests.
A huge mix of weather conditions, rainbows, snow, sun and hail made it a little interesting, and while I am kicking myself for not getting anything near as good as Bowz's rainbow shot, I was still happy with a few from the day.
As usual, a mix of some real marmite, and a couple of backdrops which I expect a mixed reception to!!
Comments welcomed as always.

Thank you for looking!

Lovely set Matty, love the marmite shots & a nice bit of Matty angle©, think I've now got the rainbow copyright, hahaha :D

Thanks James, very kind words! Glad the marmite was received ok! Appreciate you taking the time to comment, your shots are very much inspiring!
Bowz - No chance. I'm sure if you check the Exif, I got the first one of the day haha!!

Hi Matty
Stunning action shots, I was the driver of the yellow Ford Escort Mexico through the ford. Is it possible to get a copy please?

Really nice set - see what you mean (from my thread) about the inclusion of scenery for context... #1 really captures the feel of the stage and the day!

If I may be so bold as to say I think #2 and #4 are possibly a (little) bit too far into the corner,

However I love #3 through the water splash, and #6 is cool too.

very nice set, I like all of them but the watersplash pans are my favorites, really beautiful

Hmmm, first picture I took when getting out of the car was a rainbow exif data says time is 11:22, boooooooooooosh!!! beat that ©

Thanks all for the above comments. I'm glad there is some love for the water splash shots, It was nice to have the opportunity to shoot in such a good location.
With regard to the comment about the subject being too far in the corner. I agree onthe water splash one, but it was necessary as someone decided to park a bright blue fiesta in the background, which made it tough to keep it out of the shots. I understand what you're saying though, and thanks for the honest opinion.

@Mike Tanswell if you drop me a line on the email address on my blog, We can get a shot over to you

Hi Matty
I must be missing it or having a senior moment but I can't see your e mail address on your blog link above:help:

Like them all except 5 ( a wee bit too blurry and dark for me).

Can't pick a favourite from the rest though.

Fantastic set of images Matty as usual. Really like the watersplash pans, I've tried something similar to that in past.

Also, I'm almost certain I recognise the location of ford, I'm sure we drove through it coming out of Gale Rigg on the RAC Rally last year on the way up to Pundershaw. Am I on the right track?

Rhod

Thanks very much for your comments @Mikesphotaes @minnnt I appreciate that 5 is probably not going to be liked by many, but it's something I wanted to achieve

@Fly_Half thanks for the kind words Rhod. The water splash ones were tricky to get how I wanted with the AF not always locking on the car due to the spray. I got them how I imagined in my mind though, which I am happy with. Marmitey I suppose, but I like that, plus the head on shots were ruined by a photographers car parked directly behind the ford.
I don't know if you would have taken this road. It's a small road that links Low Row, Healaugh and Reeth in Swaledale. You wouldn't know it was there if you weren't looking for it. I understand that it was one of the locations for the opening credits of All Creatures Great and Small. If that helps you at all!!!
Are you doing the RAC this year? Going to be my first time, just trying to sort some locations for Saturday and maybe Sunday evening! As always, look forward to seeing your shots
Cheers

Tbh, i think #5 is brilliant. The actual Mexico is sharp and must take a lot of skill to get right. #6 is my favourite though. love the feel and processing of it and it's a real classic of a rally car.

Cheers mate, always good to know that I'm not the only one that likes the off the wall kind of rally shots. Appreciate the kind words!
