Great set of highly detailed shots.

#1 & #4 have uncomfortable composition. Both suffer from too much negative space which is not needed. I would be tempted to square crop both of them

I was considering square crops

All great shots Alf but that Hover does it for me the most

I'd be inclined ( if it were mine that is) to take most of the green from the top of #4. so the eyes are on the top right 1/3 in both planes. ( just my opinion of course )

But it still remains a cracking set Alf, which ever way you look at it

You should be able to take the "top off" without messing with the size

edit you have it at 1024 x 1024. I cut it to 1024 x 617 with no loss of quality.

Given the backgrounds, I can see the logic of the crops. FWIW I'm comfortable with them.

These are natural light on a sightly overcast day shot with my Oly E-M1ii and 40-150 f2.8 plus 1.4X tc hence the large crops
