From the extensive research I've conducted, I'm pretty certain this guy turns in to a Ruby Tiger moth which look lovely. Not sure if the last portrait style one really works but thought I'd give it a go anyway!

Ah, the "wolley bear " The other similar one i think is the cream spot tiger and the caterpillar has a brown head. Lovely focus and nice back ground.

Just a little update for you. The caterpillar above successfully emerged last night from the cocoon he made about 3 weeks ago. Here he is now:

Best I could do considering he wasn't really moving about and was perched on a plastic tub the whole time!
I checked on him this morning and he was exercising his wings. I'll be releasing tonight where I found him so he can find a nice lady moth.

I do concede however that he could be a she for all I know..
