As I have not had me rocks off in a while I thought I would add this one.
This is from last May. After a long spell of very dry weather, that resulted in a substantial moorland/hill fire nearby, the water level in Loch Bad an Sgalaig(about 4miles SE of Gairloch) was low and exposed some of the underlying rock, and trees that were submerged after the dam was built.
I think this is a rock called Semipelite which is a metamorphosed fine grained sedimentary rock.
