Fairly common on O`ahu but yes a lovely find. I saw a few there.

Thanks Graham and Russ. Yes these colourful little finches are very common on the Big Island, Hawaii. They are not too skittish, so with a good lens quite easy to get a close photo. I photo'd quite a few local birds, all new to us from UK.

I didn`t go to the BIG Island just O`ahu and that`s where I saw some.
But as you say, not skittish at all.
