Hi all,

Popped out this morning to the local Scammonden Reservoir for a long exposure of the overflow. It is windy here today so I thought the long exposure and monochrome conversion would work well, something I don't choose very often. Processed with Lightroom and Nik Silver Efex Pro 2.

Any feedback welcome thanks,

a little too dark for me - especially the right foreshore

and it's tilted down to the left bottom so the water appears to be flowing there...:)

I like it as is since it is coherent
with the light conditions!

Thanks for the comments.

The shoreline is a little darker yes, my thinking being it's not my main subject and with it being monochrome it's good to have some near blacks in there. I'm not too keen on the neutral monochrome look where you get mid greys and no blacks.

The tilting to bottom left may just be a perception thing, the shot is level but there is no straight horizon line which doesn't help. The wind is also blowing into that bottom left corner leaving the trails on the water, maybe that is contributing to the feeling?
