All taken earlier today with the Tamron 70-200 and D300, pretty much untouched except a crop and slight sharpen. I'm reasonably happy with the results for a first attempt at aircraft, though there were lots of shots missing the tail of the Tornados :) and suitably impressed by the performance of the Tammy :D

C+C welcome, good or bad.
Neil.

Some people knock the tammy but mine is never off the camera I love it and as for the shots ..pin sharp but as matt says could do with some blur on helicopter
Check exif on this for details

Same lens D200

1/250th works well for Heli's, 1/125th is probably the sweet spot ;)

Nice set BTW.

Sure enough, the Exif showed 1/125. Which is way slower than I would have thought.
Thanks, Neil.

You can go a slow as 1/60 f7-9 if its a dullish day but camera shake can creep in at this speed but I normally stick to 1/125 for helos and 1/200-250 for planes
