That's one very nice shot Nigel, of a place I've been across state to from TN to many times. Good composition, great light, and some very nice detail.(y)

Like that view, nice place but as you say, rainy!
 
It rained so much the road we were across the Cascades was closed due to multiple landslides. We had to turn back and find a different route south of Seattle. Stunning landscape all around.
 
You should be very proud of that shot, it's lovely. I love the contrast between the urban area and the mountain and the amount of detail overall is great. Well done
 
the mountain in the back ground looks like Mt Fuji, a surreal but excellent shot
 
That's Mount Rainier, also a volcano, there's a string of them across the north west.
 
Excellent shot. Beautiful light on the mountain, and a lovely clarity to the foreground buildings.
 
That's a beautiful capture, I must frequent this section more often!
 
Fabulous. Weird the mountian being there looks very surreal.

I quite surprised to get such a clear view of Rainier from there. It really did turn quite red as the sun went down
