As for the good species, I like being different and can leave the mundane and easy stuff to you old boys. Besides, I like to go out and find things, rather than sitting waiting for things to find me. I admire the patience of people who can sit in the same place every day and come home with excellent shots of the same bird(s), but that's not really my thing. My pictures may not be world class, but they do tend to bring something different to the table.

Where were these at? I'd love to get the chance to snap them.

Thanks for the positive comments gents. I was hoping for some harsh crit and pointers, especially regarding the first two which aren't as strong as I'd hoped when I pressed the shutter. Perhaps I'm being too hard on myself? In particular, I find the backgrounds to be odd looking and I wonder if I'm doing something wrong in how I upload them. My normal M.O. would be to crop/process and then resize down to 1024x768 before uploading to FaceBook and linking to here.
