Does anyone have experience with this star stacking software?

I am by no means techy and i struggle loading simple printer drivers, I have followed the instructions and install the "Microsoft visual C++ 2015 redistributable package (x64)" and I'm still getting the error message "MSVCP140. DLL not found"

HELP

Non :)

I thought it was funny :)

Sorry, can't help you, but it used to be a csae many Windows ago that you had to uninstall and then reinstall, and then update drivers and install missing drivers...

HELP

What version of Windows are you using?

The advised package to be installed is for Windows operating systems that are 64bit, though I would have thought that such an MS package would 'report' a problem if you were trying to install it on a 32bit system.

Sorry if too techy but you need to supply more info like the above before there may be an answer.

PS I note that the Sequator software is indeed 64bit.

PPS how to find whether 32 or 64 bit depending on which version of Windows (7, 8, 10....). https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/13443/windows-which-version-am-i-running

Don't worry, I saw the funny side :p

Yes, my system is on windows 10 and 64 bit. When I tried to install the "Microsoft visual C++ 2015 redistributable package (x64)" I got an error message because I had the 2017 version installed on my device, so I uninstalled that and installed the 2015 version which seems counter intuitive to me?

Weird. My reply seems apt :)

Never used this, I've only ever used Deepskystacker which I've found works extremely well

I managed to get this sorted today. I took the laptop to work and explained to the it department that I am a bafoon and completely clueless. After a little fiddle he agreed and showed me the software running perfectly :shifty:

It turned out I hadn't extracted all the files from the zip, I had only extracted the sequator software and non of the background software needed to run it "DOH"

Thanks to all for trying to help me out though :ty:
