Short-eared owls

Very nice set

"Excellent" set of bif/wildlife style captures Mick, liking all of these pic's very much.

Brilliant. Sharp, perfectly exposed and lovely bg's.

'ello mate HNY.......Mick i'd really expect nowt less than stella from you and trust me I've preused more than a couple of shorty images all are lovely but that first is special.it's for me the light and as it happens I adore that tail just flipped towards us it sort of enhances the underwiing . that right there is subliime bro

Our local shorty site now has so many togs it's become unbelievably hard for us to be there ( and most of the locals)..........but we are closing on hare access at the end of the month and me lad got us a trail cam so know fox still here in garden, so cubs might be an option as the months tick by............. .we'll see.

Beautiful beautiful image making Mick bless ya for sharing 'em (y)

HNY to you as well Stu :)

Am afraid everywhere now is the same, owls especially seem to attract the crowds in unbelievable numbers !

This location on my first couple of visits was quiet but once the social media circus had posted there pics as soon as they got home it became unfeasible to get decent pics. I can't understand why people have to post with locations then complain that the place is overrun, I have always kept my pics till after the event. Why would you post pics everywhere to ruin the chance of getting more I just don't see the logic

Anyway it is what it is and am afraid unless you very lucky to get something on private land or in the middle of nowhere it is always going be like this

Cheers Mick.

I didn't find the crowds at Elmley too bad - but the only time I went there it was windy and the owls stayed in.
