Nice shot, nice to see the hand movement, it adds some idea of sound....If that makes sense for a photo.
Nice use of a slow shutter speed, it works well Alex
Really like this for Ability. Great idea [emoji4]
The movement against the sharpness of the keys looks great. Nice capture.
Really like the blurry hands, it makes for a much more dynamic shot, better than a frozen hand shot.
Like the POV and the blurry hands a great shot for ability.
Ability is a nice image, a little too low key for my personal taste but I do like the way you've captured the hand movements.
Blurred hands make the shot, well done!
Broken - I too love the sunset, I think you chose the right image for the theme for the main thread
Ability - The blurred hands do give a feel of playing rather than a posed shot
Thanks - I had the same PoV in colour, but the base of the snow pile is now fairly brown and cruddy... B&W is definitely more forgiving!Great set Alex.
All nice images but the one on the main page is a cracker!
Ability - Nicely captured and thought out image
Winter - No1 for me fits the theme perfectly
Agree they are all great, but yes the main one in the thread is a cracking shot.
Really interesting shots.. well captured. The b&w is imo the best choice.
Hi Alex
Your ability to play the piano is greater than mine, used to be able to play 3 blind mice when a youngster, with 1 finger. Like the blur of the hands against the mainly B&W of the rest of the photo.
Winter, using b&W to clean an image up is a good idea, nice to see the other shots for context.

Lovely icy stuff! I wish you'd number them!
My fave is the one with the figure in blue for scale
Great set of pictures, much more wintery than here.
I actually really like the colour shots with the "dirty" snow. All fine wintry photos,
All good shots with different variety of perspective, but I agree with the b&w you chose
When you way Mary Jane, I think of spiderman rather than dope, but I guess I'm getting old
Lots of different shots, but I agree with your selection for the theme.
Works well in B&W.
Great winter shots. I really like the scanned film one!
great set of images my favourite is the one you put on the main thread
I really like all of the winter shots and the mono version is a particular favourite.
I like your shot for wild because of your 180 degree turn shot. Wonderful colours and such a juxtaposition yet both Wild.
Your sunset image is incredible. Such intense colour.
Another great shot for Broken. Very nice. The colours really make it for me.
Ability - anyone who can play a musical instrument gets my vote.
Winter is a fantastic set of images. It looks nice and warm there but clearly isn't.
No idea about the book, but I love the technique!
Nice set Alex, and no idea on the title either.
Unless its something to do with your (slightly odd) Gambling laws?
Great, interesting images.. struggling to come up with the book as well!
