Sidmouth Sunset

Went to stay a couple of days with some friends in Sidmouth earlier this week.

Took a mooch down the front at sunset and the sun was shaping up nicely for some lovely underlit red clouds but at the last minute got obscured by cloud so in the end I got this.

I couldn't quite get the sky how I wanted in Lightroom, so I took the unusual step [for me] of running the raw file through Photomatix and tone mapping it there before returning to PS/LR.

The shot seems to lean to the right.

I think you did, not falling in the usual trap… but I see
there is much more in the recorded data.

Thanks! I levelled the image using the horizon on the left, but I'm inclined (excuse the pun!) to agree that it overall looks like it does slant a little to right.
