Bit of an older one here - taken where I work at Slapton Ley nature reserve. Compositionally the diagonal of the fallen tree works really well, which was lucky because I hadn't considered it when I composed it originally! Probably overdid the vignette slightly...

Lovely composition and silky water. Personally I'd lighten it a bit and (as you say) reduce the vignette. Did you use a polariser? Bright reflections off the rocks and vegetation are very well controlled.

No, don't think I used a polariser but it was first thing in the morning so the light was very soft. I used a 10 stop ND filter which was fairly unnecessary as it was quite dark and probably could have done it with a polariser!
