I've been involved in several discussions about luminance masking, so I decided to make a video of how I do it using "apply image" in PS.
There's no need to use actions that make a huge number of channel layers increasing file size (or the need to subscribe to someone's email marketing list to get one), no need to buy a panel and install additional software, it is quick, easy, and it gives a live preview of what you are doing.
I only covered the very basics... I use it for all sorts of purposes (dodge/burn, curves, luminance, etc, etc). If it raises any questions, just ask.
HD should be available soon, but not really needed.
