Not bad here, depends on screen calibration I suppose, but I don't see the point in the large expanse of grass and path leading up to the tower. The interest is in the clouds and to some extent the glass at the top of tower. This could almost be a square crop without the lead in.

yeah, it's dark on my screen but not overly dark. It was poor weather when I took it so to lighten it would kill the image.

I have lightened the foreground a bit and cropped it a little:

Same here... no real highlights, blocked up shadows and overall, very dark and heavy.... Makes it look under-exposed.

You can still get a feeling of dark, stormy etc without that all pervasive greyness.




I only had a JPEG to play with, so ignore the banding.

I'd love to get my hands on that raw file though.

Yep - nice capture, but dark on my screen too.
