That is one nasty thing about the marsh I visit, Gary:
there are trees all along its edges that trow shadows
when the Sun is out. When that tree fell, it opened a
space and that's how I'm granted such takes.

Glad you like it! :)

It's a genuine beam? I thought you'd added it in processing

Yeah, right! o_O

Over the head of the swan, is the reflection prolongation
of a small tree in the BG.

The beam of light looks nice.
The focus seems to fall short of the swan.

Brilliant… but how short may that be???

I have no idea. I wasn't there, but it seems to me to be well in front of the bird.

Looks good to me K.

Think I would prefer the crop to be between the 1st and 2nd enlarged image.

Well caught, and that light beam must have been prayed for :-|)

Thanks Mark!

Apparently, mammal's vision is still more reliable than
that of batrachians.

The focus seems to fall short of the swan.
but how short may that be???
I have no idea.
…how could that be if the ducks and log are sharp???
They're not.
Some comments sound more like judgements and such
could severely shake up less experienced members.

Name calling is unnecessary.
I stand by my comments.
BTW, your English seems just fine today.

Thank you!
Yes, with translation apps normally but I have
two American visitors at the studio… that helps
a lot.

BTW, they saw the take in my converter and they
do not see the same thing as you do.

Calling names? Mark and I have avatar and name
of mammals and you have a frog as avatar!

I think the crop helps. On the iPad app, the first image doesn't look sharp. Must be an app thing.

Thanks for that Byker, I don't get where
the problem is caused… it shows quite
fine on my iPad Air 2.

Got home, looked on it on my calibrated monitor. I think it's a trick of the light looking at the cropped image. There's a bit of the swan thats blown highlight, some dappled in shade, whilst the ripples in the light show as detailed. There's some softness in the bark on the log, perhaps again processing or a trick of the light, so I can see why Viv thought front focussed.
