Had a walk up Snowdon yesterday. C&C welcome, ta.

Ooh nice, was wondering what conditions are like at the mo as I'm planning on heading up in a couple of weeks. Snow doesn't look too deep?

Snow wasn't too deep - perhaps 3"-4" in some sheltered spots. Biggest problem was ice on the Pyg track - crampons were useful. It'll be all change in a couple of weeks though. Probably back to the usual rain.

Heheh aye, I went up in thick snow at the start of the year, we went up the Llanberis Path just past the station and turned round it was that bad.

I'll pack crampons and axes just in case.

Ta. All shot with a 17-40mm. Circ. polariser on no.4, nowt on the rest. Aperture priority, most likely at f11.

I always pick the wrong day

I was there on Saturday in low cloud and heavy hail. Nice pics though, I wonder if i'll ever see a clear day on the summit!

Beautiful pictures especially the first 2. I'm going up there on holiday in 2 weeks but cant climb so now I know what I'll be missing. I'll be looking from the bottom up.
