We have a butterfly world centre about 5 minutes away from the house. Despite staying here for 17 years I've never been but decided to give it a try today. Dusted down the macro lens I got for xmas 3-4 years ago, flash with big diffuser, triggers (which didn;t work) and off I went. Had read up earlier in the week, tripod came, focus rail, the works.
Ended up sticking the tripod in a cupboard, walking around with the flash/ diffuser on camera and got these.
I'm quite pleased as a start but as always welcome critique ad constructive criticism. Will need to investigate the trigger but OCF only going to work if camera on tripod I think

PLan is to go back to this place for a couple of hours every 2-3 weeks and see what happens with these through the year.
They do spiders and lizards and I'll give them a go also.
