Some from New York

I posted in another thread that on our recent trip to NYC I took a few shots, but that while I didn't think I'd captured great images, I think I captured great memories for my daughter.

Having said that, one or two shots caught my eye when processing, so I thought I'd share some here.

Taken from the very end of the Highline.

There was just something about this I liked.

Quite liked the unseen kid's hands on this one - feels like it adds an extra dimension (they weren't a relative BTW, I wouldn't have been that insensitive).

The skies were pretty flat, so I took the cop out and made it black and white, and then boosted the clarity.

Took this from a moving cab - just lucked out that the couple stared into the shop as I pressed the shutter.

Quite liked the chaotic nature of this

As said, the skies weren't that interesting and I saw a great shot of the Empire State in another thread and knew I couldn't match it, so thought I'd try framing it differently:

Couldn't decide on which focal point I liked best.

And then some signs:

Good advice:

Here’s one I took in January :) The Rose is on a different name. I wonder what the story is behind it. Any clues?

Some interesting shots, Kell. Not the usual postcard shots.
It pays to take some thought over your subjects :)

Some really good stuff there, wish I had been as creative on my visit.

No.1 is excellent, but the chaotic one is the stand out, love this one!

Think the first Empire one is best. Good image and a different take.
