I don't normally shoot macro this time of year but found these old shots from when i started in 2006:)
I was trying to take pictures of bumblebees in the garden with my 350D and kit lens and struggling my wife suggested getting a macro lens
I bought the Sigma 105 and went to my local pond
these are some of the first shots that I took, not even in focus but bring back memories
the last one of the Southern Hawker I still haven't bettered tho:D

Wow! First shots with a macro lens and to be honest, they don't get much better than these. You took to it like a duck to water I see...

Lovely shots, hope I get some nice damselflies in the year. Not long now :)

@TimmyG your only allowed Damsels and Dragons if I find some new species of Springtails. ;)

I'm making plans for the spring already looking for new places to find bugs, I think that I've found a new butterfly site :banana:
