Took these shots yesterday while on a tour to the sound mirrors at Dungeness, Kent. Built between 1928 and 1930 as an acoustic aircraft early warning system, they were made obsolete in 1935 following the invention of radar.

Wow that first one has real impact to it! In fact they both have a sci-fi/ ancient civilisation feel to them. What lens did you use for the first one? Rob
 
Thanks for the comment Rob. Both are shot with a Tamron 10-24mm set to 10mm. Processed in Lightroom and Niksoftware Silver Efex.

Getting the exposure right was difficult due to the sun's direction on the mirrors (they're best shot in the morning with the sun on the reflecting faces), so I ended up bracketing quite a bit.
 
Superb!!! I must try and find these when I'm there next month. Where are they exactly?
