Southern 100 IOM - Michael Dunlop (race winner)

Surprised this hasn't had a few comments, looks good with the crowd and the logo on the left.
 
I'm wondering why f5 and 1/500th? You shot manually, so you chose those settings.

The crowd is still too sharp and doesn't pick the bike/rider out enough. The IOM sign is on the same focal plane as the bike, so would have still been legible at a wider aperture. f2.8 at 1/1600th and that would have been a much better shot IMO.

Yes I chose the shutter / app deliberatly. I wanted the to ensure I nailed the focus on the bike & yet also showed how close the crowd is...

I could have used 2.8 but just didn't want that depth of field. Guess I'll have to practice more next year - lol
