The hardest part was finding one as they are as rare as rocking horse xxxx, I have been doing dragons in flight for a while so I am used to manual focus, these are a bit tricky as they seem to bob up and down in flight as well as turn side to side. I managed to get a few focused though. Brown Hawkers are harder still.

I'm just in awe of anyone who can photograph a dragonfly in flight. I find it hard enough to track them by eye.

Great find and a cracking shot!
I've tried dragonflies in flight, and once got 3 ok shots out of about 200!

Thanks for the comments, it takes a little practice and it is addictive good fun though.
