Why, oh why did I come in for a coffee?, the joys of wildlife photography.

Taken from the kitchen today, I couldn't believe my eyes and within feet of my hide, the irony. Not quite the setting and shot I ultimately want but I am grateful to have gotten this. She is looking a little rough, maybe after the breeding season and it's also dull, grey and pouring down here, this is also a decent crop off the 5Div.

I guess the goldfinches might be giving the hide a wide berth now. It has been VERY quiet this last 2 days, not even many sparrows, maybe this is why.

I may try some dead rats now, we have pet snakes, which is handy. ;)

Thanks Martin.

It was about again this morning (11/08), although just a fly by between houses, it's eerily quiet here now, no chirping sparrows.
