A spoonbill feeding on the shoreside of the weir outlet at Pagham Harbour's North Wall (RSPB Nature Reserve) this afternoon.
Now the excuses -
a) it was so windy it was difficult enough to stand up let alone hold the camera anywhere near still
b) the light was terrible, low dark cloud and
c) I thought I'd try the D3 on the Sigma for the first time
But it was a very wonderful hour watching this beautiful creature sweeping its hunting ground, catching fish, dropping them, chasing them furiously, then throwing that marvellous beak back to swallow the unfortunate.
