Spotted Chasers (?)

In the absence of much wildlife with feathers this morning I took to trying my hand at insects.
Not ideally equipped with a gripped D850 & 200-500 handheld as walking around the reserve but would welcome comments

Thanks Stu ... not anything like as good as the macro guys on here but I do like the sort of jewelled effect of the species

Jeepers that was quick,. Fair comment some of the macro work is amazing isn't it. It's always getting the DOF which isn't always easy with a longer lens,

Jewelled effect, is a good description mate, they are and that's what is probably appealing so much to me

Four spotted chasers, and very nicely done too, especially the first where you don't really see the oof wing.

Top one is a stunner, long lens work well with Dragonflies, I normally choose a 300mm.
