Standing Stones

Like this Andy, some nice light hit the stones. How did you find composing and isolating a shot with all those stones, presuming this is Callanish? Asking as going there at the end of September and really looking forward to the isles.
 
Paul100, Thanks for the comment. I've been lucky enough to visit Callanish twice and both times all I did was wonder around and around and around and take hundreds of shots as the sun went down and even although there were quite a few folk around there was always a moment where there was nobody in view at all ! This was a shot that I had previously not paid too much attention to but having recently started using the NIk colour suite I have been getting better results. Hope you get good weather for your visit and try McNeils in Stornoway for a good pint.
 
Good use of light and shade and that grey sky adds to the atmosphere. I would clone out the barbed wire fence.
 
i like the arragnement of the stones in the composition
the fence i see....but dont see.....taking out is an easy job but i dont find it distracting
lots of potential here for pp and b>w conversion
very sharp and detailed
i wont as what you used as it is forbidden to covet a .....with a....lens
