Star Trek Discovery on E4 channel

I saw a trailer for this, apparently this is on E4 on 15th December.

So just a heads up

I wonder what it is like???

Well, it doesn't have a holodeck malfunction episode every few weeks

I enjoyed it.

Watched the first three episodes, that was enough for me.
Hoping the Picard series coming in January will be a big improvement on Discovery

I really liked Discovery - watched all of the episodes on Netflix ... but am eagerly anticipating the Picard series

The thing that got to me in the first series was them changing the look of the Klingon's so much! There was no need. It's like a new race with the same name.

There was so much stuff in the first two series that it was like, 'why have I not heard of any of this stuff in previous Star Trek's!' It is good, but it is not really Star Trek imho.

I'll still watch the next series, but I hope they rein it in a bit.

It takes a bit of getting used to & don't expect "normal" star trek.
But its good fun I enjoyed the 2 seasons on net flicks.
