Starburst Editing

Hi all,

Just wondering anyone any tips to reduce starburst in images? I have a particular shot, a floodlight in it and the starburst is massive.

Of course, here it is.

In PS it can be made much less significant with a simple levels adjustment layer.




Or it can be cloned out and painted over pretty easily... I should have removed it's reflection as well.
